On a 200-hectare estate straddling the Lilongwe–Mchinji border, on the banks of the Bua River, Sani Ltd runs the kind of operation that proves what our services deliver — not just what we say we do.
This is a look inside a single working day: land preparation contracted to tobacco farmers, pollination services delivered for one of Malawi’s largest macadamia estates, and irrigated produce moved into the Lilongwe market. Three service lines, one farm, real clients.
Land Preparation — Contracted and Delivered
Before sunrise, our tractor is already staged in a nearby village, contracted out to till land for tobacco farmers in the Kasiya growing area — one of Lilongwe’s key farming zones for maize, tobacco, and legumes. No fuel station serves the area for miles in either direction, so Sani’s team brings fuel in to keep the equipment running through the job.
This is what our Land Preparation service looks like in practice: equipment on-site, on schedule, in areas without basic infrastructure.
Apiary Services — Pollination for Gala Macs' Kalokwe Estate
Sani manages over a hundred beehives spread across the woodlots of the farm, positioned to take advantage of the Bua River corridor. A portion of these hives are contracted out for pollination services at Gala Macs Agriculture‘s Kalokwe Macadamia Estate, where our team inspects sites regularly alongside estate staff to keep pollination on track through the season.

This is a live, ongoing commercial contract. It’s proof that our Apiary Services scale to estate-level operations.
Irrigation and Produce Supply
Drawing water from the Bua River, the farm irrigates a working vegetable patch of tomatoes, onions, and green peppers, harvested every few days and moved directly into Lilongwe city for sale. Alongside this, the estate’s core crops of maize and groundnuts are grown under the same irrigation system.
Reliable irrigation and a steady harvest cycle, sustained by infrastructure Sani built and manages on-site.
The Bigger Picture
This single 200-hectare operation touches four of Sani’s core service lines in one day — land preparation, apiary services, contract farming, and produce logistics — for named clients including Gala Macs Agriculture and Alliance One Tobacco. It’s a working example of what “value add farming for markets” looks like on the ground.
